Luke 11:27-28 This woman was trying to give out a heart-felt compliment. She was so impressed with Jesus that she, possibly a mother herself, could just imagine how proud His mother was of Him, what an honor it must be to be His mother, what respect she must receive from others because of Him, and that she is blessed and favored of God.
But, know that pride, honor, respect and God’s favor and blessing is upon those who hear God’s Word and follows it. Therefore, to be biologically related to Jesus or to even be the woman chosen by God to be overshadowed by the Holy Spirit and give birth to the Son of God is not as great as our spiritual relationship with God. That relationship is based upon digging into His Word and following those words.
When we focus on God’d Word and apply it we discover a fountain of blessings.
