The Message In Homosexuality, Romans 1:26-28

images-1Romans 1:26-28 For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;

Before I get into these verses, allow me to establish the following:

  1. Hatred of any people groups is scripturally a sin. There is no bases for it. A radical Christian is one who radically loves like Jesus did. He never taught hatred although He did often come down hard on the religious leaders who were doing wrong and knew better.
  2. Much has been written over the past years to either scripturally support or judge homosexuality. I do not wish to rehash everyone elses commentary. I have no desire of anyone’s opinion. What does the Word of God say.
  3. There is no question that Paul is referring to the act of homosexuality in these verse. Therefore, all that is left to do is to discover what hidden truths are deeper inside of these verses.

What I am attempting to present is outside of my normal nugget notes. I want to present a commentary of a portion of Romans 1 to establish a principle that, I believe, is the bases from which we can discover all nuggets of God’s truth in scripture and nature. You may agree or disagree with me, but be willing to following all the way to the end to really read what I am trying to unveil.

Contextually, there is an outstanding message here. It is all based on the understanding that God has been leaving us messages since creation. The Jewish Feasts have God’s messages all in them. The actually alphabet in the Hebrew text has God’s messages in them. Creation has God’s messages in them. The stars have God’s messages in them. Every story in scripture are detailed with God’s messages in them.

If we understand this, then we can more clearly understand that the just shall live by faith (vs 17). Faith in what? The revelation of God and who He is as revealed in everything around us and in scripture. At least, that is what Paul goes on to say in chapter 1. It is the unrighteous, or those who have no direction, who attempt to suppress the truth, the messages of God (vs 18).

According to verse 19 the truth is suppressed by the lost ones because that truth reveals everything about who God is, “what may be known of God.” They do not want God to be known. They do not want God’s messages discovered and understood.

Are the messages that God has left us clear? That’s what Paul says. He says that the messages are so clear that there is no excuse not to be able to read them (vs 20).

He goes on to further explain. In reality, it was not that they did not understand God’s messages nor see them. It was that in spite of seeing them they chose not to acknowledge the significance of the messages. They chose to ignore the evidence. Rather than be thankful for who God is they became foolish and would not allow light to enter into their understandings, into their hearts (vs 21). Although they could see God in nature, they refused. Although they could see God in the seasons, they refused.

What made it worse was that they did all that they could to present themselves as wise, but in their futile attempts they only revealed their foolishness. (vs 22). They did this by making their God into the likeness of created things such as a bird, a man, or some other kind of created being. That would be like giving glory to a 1964 Mustang for inventing the automobile.

Because they chose to ignore truth and to cover it up so that it would be distorted for others to see; because they did all that they could to present themselves as wise through their dark hearts; and because they debased God, making Him nothing greater than a created being, God then turned them loose.

He turned them loose to lustful uncleanness to dishonor their bodies.

Take a look at the collection of these words; lustful, uncleanness, bodies. What is he describing? I am concluding that he is describing sexual desires.

Sex is a wonderful thing. God created it and gave us the instructions to multiply. I believe that it was more than an instruction, but that Genesis 1:28 was the very creation or the activation of the drive that was put within us. We have a sexual attraction which pushes us to multiply and we enjoy the process. God made it good.

So, when does sex become something bad? When does it become a punishment? Wouldn’t this be sexual freedom instead? Wouldn’t this be the freedom to release your sexual expressions?

He let them loose to lustful uncleanness to dishonor their bodies. What I am reading is that their sexual desires perverted the message of God. Remember, “God has been leaving us messages since creation.” In order to understand the perversion of God’s message we have to understand God’s original message.

What would be God’s message to us in the very act of sex? Here are some suggestions:

  • In God there is pleasure.
  • Our walks with God should be intimate.
  • Our greatest gift to God is doing all we can to bring Him pleasure.
  • Our time spent with God will always produce or reproduce results.

But then Paul brings in a description  in verse 26-28. It’s a woman lusting after a woman and a man lusting after a man. Is there anything wrong with this? Some say no. That this is our right.

Allow me to take you to Genesis 2:24 and I want you to see, not only a physical message, but a spiritual one too. Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

The physical or natural message is the description of a healthy marriage.

The spiritual message is Jesus, the groom, will join with His wife, the believer.

The unity between a man and a woman is no less of a message to us as scripture itself. If Genesis 2:24 is a message from God to us then it is a message that has been lived out in every society since the beginning of man. Paul clarified it in his letter to the Ephisians in chapter 5.

  • The husband is the head of the wife, (message) as also Christ is head of the church.
  • The wife is subject to the husband, (message) just as Church is subject to Christ.
  • Husbands are to love their wives (message) as Christ loved the Church and gave Himself for her.
  • As Adam said to Eve, (message) we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones.

Then he quotes Genesis 2:24 to establish what I have already mentioned and then he says this, “This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.”

Even Paul understood that Genesis 2:24 and the understanding of marriage is the revelation of Jesus Christ and His marriage to US. If this is true, then is it possible for me to say that to participate in any other kind of marriage is a distortion of that message. Every marriage is God revealing His message of Christ being married to us. A marriage is a covenant between a man and a woman who become ONE.

In a homosexual marriage you have a bride and a bride or a groom and a groom. What message is now given? That Jesus is only interested in Himself or that we are only interested in ourselves? Would this be “suppressing the truth in unrighteousness” as found in verse 18? Just a question. Think about it.

If I am right and the marriage is sacred because of God’s message in it, then homosexuality says that we are our own salvation. Can we mess with the message of salvation?

This is not propaganda against same sex marriage. This is not a hate speech. I am only talking about God’s messages that He has placed all around us. There is a message in marriage between a bride and a groom. This is why God said that He hated divorce in Malachi 2:16.

God instructed Hosea to marry a prostitute to symbolize the spiritual prostitution that Israel was committing. It was another message. But, if Hosea would have married another man, what message with that have been? Nor did God instruct Hosea to have sex with another woman. That would have been a message of unfaithfulness. I am not convinced that God would have instructed such a thing because it is contrary to His message.

Instead, God told Hosea to go find his wife and bring her back home. Why? It was God’s message to Israel that He still loved her and wanted to bring her home where she belonged.

So, what was Paul describing in Romans 1?

  1. This was an act that stemmed out of the denial of who God really is (vs 21), not wanting to give glory to Him.
  2. This was an act that was based upon lust that dishonors their bodies (vs 24).
  3. This was an act that grew out of exchanging the truth for a lie (vs 25).
  4. This was an act that was described as against nature (vs 26).
  5. This was an act that was motivated out of burning lust (vs 27).
  6. This was an act that carries with it consequences, penalties that are earned (vs 27).

Could we then not say that homosexuality is a message of the selfishness of a society?

What do I say about those men and women who fight homosexual urges. If they have the urge, does it make it right? Or, is it proof that they are unrighteous?

No and no. Urges have nothing to do with what is right. Discipline fights off urges. (James 1:15) Everyone has urges of one kind or another. And just because those urges are there does not mean that you are sinful. Paul says later in chapter 7 that he wrestled with wanting to do what he knew was wrong and had to try hard to do what was right.

The spiritual implication of Romans 1 is that leaving the natural desires of the opposite sex redefines God’s message in marriage. And, yes, there is a message in singleness. Paul described it as saving yourself completely for God.

So, are homosexuals the same as a eunuch? Not according to the Old Testament. The Hebrew word for eunuch means crushed. These are men that have been castrated or born impotent. Therefore, eunuch has to do with impotence and homosexuality has to do with sexual desires.

By the way. I can never bring myself to sharing Ephesians 5 without sharing 1 Peter 3:7. Too many misunderstand Ephesians 5 and use it to support their belief that their wife is their slave. Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.

Christ, our husband, understands us. Therefore, husbands need to understand and honor their wives or their prayers could be hindered.

  1. Awesome message Pastor!

    • Couple of questions asked in love to the writer of the article :

Sir, does your wife have her head covered when she prays?”
Is her hair long? Is your hair short?
I hope so, because it seems that ‘grace’ won’t cover that either then. According to Paul this would too be a very unnatural situation.

Furthermore, could it be that Paul was not speaking to christian same-sex, comitted couples, but to the hetero people of that time who went totally ‘lose’ due to the fact that
that they were not in a loving relationship with there Creator ? Like these days in the porno world where women lust for each other, also in biblical days this would happen.

If one reads the New Testament in context one will notice that Pauls revelation to the true message of Grace only
      came later to him.
When he discovers that ‘ What I want to do, I don’t’ and what I don’t want to do, I do’
‘It is not me sinning but the sin IN me that rules’

God knew from the start that His redemption work had to be absolutely ‘waterproof’ otherwise we would not be able to ‘qualify’

‘We were crucified IN Him and were raised IN Him unto this new life.’
My sexual orientation is part of me, I just cannot deny that, and I believe that my life ‘Is hidden in Christ with God’ and I enjoy a loving relationship with my Heavenly Father.
I can do that because I trust in the fact that the Blood of Jesus SATISFIED the Father. When God looks at me, he sees me through His Son. And me, I praise God that I can still fully trust Him for that.
‘Therefor, there is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus.’

      Kind Regards,
      Margot

      • You are missing the whole point. I am not trying to establish anything in this article but that the institution of marriage between a man and a woman in Genesis 1:27 and 2:24 is the reflection of the relationship God desires between us and Him. If God truly made you to function differently outside of this definition of marriage then my understanding would be wrong. But, your argument opens up other doors.

A man in my congregation just left his wife for another woman. He did the same thing his father did and his grandfather. Does this mean think God created him this way, that it is in his DNA? That is what he says. But try to convince his three boys of this who have been devistated. Are thieves born to steal? Are murders born to murder? Come to think of it, no one had to teach me how to lie or be rebellious at the age of two. It came naturally. Does it make lying and stealing right because it was natural to me? No. I was born into sin. That sin sets me up to be able to do anything, right or wrong. I even had the potential of having a homosexual lifestyle. I have known of individuals who had addictive personalities and the last thing they needed was alcohal. It grabbed then and now they will fight it for the rest of their lives. Should they give up and die an alcohalics death?

Therefore, I can not accept your argument that God wants you to remain as you are. If that were the case then grace will allow me to do anything my flesh wanted and I’m in. Where is the new creation in that?

Romans 6:15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolators, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

You say that your sexual orientation is a part of you. And, even now, from time to time, a lie will pop into my head because I still battle the sinful nature but I choose not to speak the lie but the truth. I am not called to live the life I was born into in the natural, but to live the life I was born to in the spiritual. My natural life is hidden in Christ, but only because I do not allow it to be practiced. I do not bring it out from under the covering of Jesus.

Can someone in a homosexual lifestyle change? It sounds like that is what Paul is saying in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11.

I really was not trying to speak against your lifestyle in the original article. I want people to see that everything that God establishes are messages from Him to us. Nothing is accidental. Therefore, marriage between a man and a woman has a message from God.

  2. You quote, Romans 1:26-28 which in part states,”Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.”
This section can be read to mean that homosexuals are actually heterosexual, but choose to engage in homosexual acts. However, homosexuals claim that they didn’t make a choice. They were born homosexual and hetersexuals were born hetersexual. The Bible does not address those that are born homosexual, only those that are heterosexual and make the choice to be homosexual.

  3. Joe, the key phrase is “the natural use of the woman.” I read this as a general statement, meaning that Paul expected that it was natural for a man to desire a woman. The focus is on the action, not the type of men. Could that be why there is no description in scripture of someone born homosexual? Again, it would seem that it was the action that God was describing with those men who desired the two male messengers who entered Lot’s house. The problem that I have is that if there really was such of a thing as someone born a homosexual, why would God’s Word exclude them? And, why would it be right for such people and wrong for “heterosexuals”? Third, why would Paul describe men with men as shameful if it were right for some? Paul did not say that they left “their” natural use of the woman, but “the” natural use.

Let’s go back to the original focus of my blog. If homosexuals were born that way then the message of the marriage of Jesus and the Church would be totally changed? I’m just trying to keep it within the message of marriage.

By the way, the bible does say in Daniel 11:37 that the description of what would seem to be the antichrist, will be homosexual.

Thank you for your comment, Joe

  4. Thank you, Pastor Nathan. I don’t have an answer to your question,”The problem that I have is that if there really was such of a thing as someone born a homosexual, why would God’s Word exclude them?” I don’t want to be argumentative, but my understanding the homosexual response would be, “When did you choose to be a heterosexual?”

  5. Joe, I have searched my memory and tried hard to come up with an answer and I can not ever remember making a choice. It was like being hungry so you eat. My dad told me that my first little girlfriend was at the age of 5. Don’t remember it. He has laughed about it for years.

See, I view Genesis 2:24 as more than a narrative or an instruction. I view this as being a moment of creation when God placed His will into our hearts as a drive. But, because of the sinful nature that entered into the human race, our drives get confused such as the drive of pleasure causes some to eat themselves to death and emotion causes others to say things in anger, take something they want, or produce a baby when they were only looking for a good time.

What confuses what God made to be? My opinion: the introduction of controlling substances such as drugs or alcohol, an unfaithful dad, a tragedy in the family, etc.

Then, the question could be, did people choose to be who they are or did their circumstance choose it? If it is the circumstance, can it be changed? We have the power to change most anything. For example, the most geeky person can learn to become an effective leader. They may not have been given the instructions or example as a kid but they have a lifetime to learn. An alcoholic has a lifetime to set up boundaries to stay sober.

But, I must go back to my original point. What is God saying through marriage and do we mess it up. I do not believe that homosexuality is the only change that mankind makes to God’s message. I think settling on a dysfunctional family perverts God’s message also. It’s not having a perfect marriage between a man and a woman. It’s working on it. Jesus may be the perfect groom but we are not the perfect bride.

That is a long answer to your question. I’ve never been asked that, but that is how I would answer it.

    Thank you Joe.

  6. This a well-needed message and brilliantly put together with God’s Word.
Our family recently sign up for Verizon Fios… we had spent years “in the dark” so the speak with only 4 channels. In the short period of time we have opened this “door” in our home, we have been exposed to countless clips of homosexual footage- simply by clicking through the channels. Some, I might add- very graphic. I hear people joke about shows- even re-inact parts in laughter- giving no thought as to God’s feelings (yes- the Father has feelings) on the subject or the fact that someone in their presence may be suffering from those types of temptations. Teens are becoming fans of singers… only to hear afterwards their outward confessions of a homosexual lifestyle. They are confused. “How can someone so nice- so talented…be gay? How can it be wrong if they are doing it? There are other people doing stuff a whole lot worse than that…it’s not like they’re doing drugs or something…”
This is why I am praising God right now- for the Word of the living God that gives us clear direction when life wants to bring confusion. God has ALL the answers- we just need to search the scriptures for His truths. It is not people he has issues with- it is the sin.

  7. During Jesus time the homosexual was known as a natural eunuch.

There was the eunuch who abstained from sex for religious purposes.
    There was the mutilated eunuch
There was the natural eunuch whom today we call homosexual or gay.

Roman law gave to the natural eunuch or homosexual the right to marry and adopt children.

Jesus said that all men could not accept this saying when he said, some Eunuchs are born that way from their mothers womb.

We can get Pauls opinion and opinions from the Old Law but Jesus is Lord and he know what he was talking about.

The trouble you are having is connecting the term Eunuch to the word homosexual.

There was no such word as homosexual at that time. They were called natural Eunuchs and were considered born that way.

Jesus was very clear when he said some Eunuchs are born that way.

We seem to be more concerned about defending our traditional teachings then responding to the direct teachings of Jesus Christ.

    • You are looking through the eyes of a Roman, not a Jew. Jesus was Jewish and so were His hearers. The Hebrew word for eunuch means to crush or rub out. His tesicles were involved, whether removed, crushed or born that way.

So, can a male be born without testicles or just impotent? Jesus said that it was possible.

Just because the definition of a eunuch in Roman law was what you have interpreted to mean homosexual does not apply to Jesus. He was not a Roman, but a Jew.

You back your understanding up with Roman law. I back my understanding up with scripture, which is very Jewish in background.

Because I support my understanding with ALL scripture like Jesus did, as He quoted the Old Testament many times, I end up with a balance and a clear understanding with no contrudictions. I don’t have to studder if someone tries to point out descrepencies. There are none.

Because you support your understanding with many other writings you have a mix of cultures and ideas. I guess that is how you came up with the understanding that Jesus was actually a UFO commander who first came 26,000 years earlier. (That was an interesting read from your website).

Therefore, I can not discredit Paul’s comments of homosexuality nor can I discount the Hebrew definition of eunuch. A eunuch does not have to be homosexual nor do homosexuals have to be eunuchs according to scripture.

Yes, Rome had homosexuality. Most cultures did. And the progression always follows the sin of a nation as Paul stated in Romans 1.

By the way, if Paul’s writings are just opinions and not the inspired Word of God then what esle in Scripture is opinion. What a lost person I would be if I had to believe that opinion and Scripture were all mixed together. Who would help me weed out the opinions from the truth? You?

I don’t mean to be mean spirited. It is just hard for me to swollow the idea that parts of the Bible are not true and then those who claim so are quick to be the authority to help me know what is right and what is wrong.

  8. I will get right down to the point on Homosexuals and lesbians. In the beginning God created Adam and Eve. Not Adam and Steve. God said go out and Multiply. Homosexuality is so rampant in this generation. Our young children are exposed to pervertion of homosexual sin on Television, internet, radio, movies, magazines, newspapers,it has become accepted in our society. Jesus said in the last days good would become evil and evil becoming good. And that applies to the churches that want homosexual pastors or ministers peaching false docrines to please the ears of man not God. I do not believe that a child is born a homosexual. Ababy has no sexual desires till he or she is a adolesences. Unless there was incest going on. And then satans lies attackes the mind of that child and convinced that child he or she was gay. Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy. You dont have to live in this lifestyle because it was not designed from God. The Rainbow stands for gay colors. Why did they have to use the Rainbow as one of Gods Promises that God would never destroy the world again with another great flood. It is very clear what the scriptures are saying about homosexual sin walk away from it and sin no more. Everyone has excuses or a story to tell so does an alcoholic I know I was one that had every excuse in the book. Now I’m clean. 15 years sobor. God delivered me from sin of alcohol. God can set you free

    • Спасибо – Thank you

  10. You’re all a bunch of weirdos. Get over it – live your own life – if God is really unhappy – He could say so now – instead you go back to a document created thousands of years ago – we have moved on – i suggest you all do the same and stop wasting your life on this nonesense.

    • Thank you James for your response. The problem is that God does not “move on.” He was here all the time and when tomorrow gets here He will be waiting on us again. He is not confined to our time. If He changed then what kind of God would He be? Human? That is not for me. I guess that is why those documents created thousands of years ago said that God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He does not change.

Not only that, but who has moved on? Homosexuality is evidenced 3,500 years ago. The men of the whole city wanted to “enjoy” the two visitors. They even turned down two virgin girls because they craved these men. Sounds like homosexuality to me.

Genesis 19:4-9 Now before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both old and young, all the people from every quarter, surrounded the house. And they called to Lot and said to him, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may know them carnally.” So Lot went out to them through the doorway, shut the door behind him, and said, “Please, my brethren, do not do so wickedly! See now, I have two daughters who have not known a man; please, let me bring them out to you, and you may do to them as you wish; only do nothing to these men, since this is the reason they have come under the shadow of my roof.” And they said, “Stand back!” Then they said, “This one came in to stay here, and he keeps acting as a judge; now we will deal worse with you than with them.” So they pressed hard against the man Lot, and came near to break down the door.

Does not sound like anyone has “moved on.” You aught to read on and see what God did to the city.

  11. This is the BEST information I have read on any blog. And as Pastor Nathan stated, I do not believe in pointing fingers because we all do sin. I do not believe in hate crime, in trying to tear someone down or in judging anyone. All of those actions goes against what Jesus taught. And, judging is reserved for God our blessed father, not me. I will be held accountable for my own sinful actions and I certainly do not want to add judging others to it. With that said, we are to teach God’s word. And, I believe we all have our BURDENS to carry.

But Pastor Nathan is correct. I do not believe he is here to point fingers and to create tension. I believe he’s here to teach God’s word. It really doesn’t matter if homosexual individuals argues with Pastor Nathan, with me or anyone else who post these type of articles. When it comes right down to it, the person choosing the homosexual lifestyle is actually arguing with God not us. Because of what God’s word tells us. The same holds true for alcoholics, ANY addition, Money, etc. If we choose THAT action OVER JESUS and GOD we have committed a sin.

Yes we were cleansed through Jesus’s blood. And when we accept Jesus into our hearts, we are suppose to become new to follow in Jesus footsteps. But it does not give us a pass to continue living in the old lifestyle. As Christians we ALL will be tempted. We ALL will face sin. But if we keep our eyes focused on Jesus as we’re told in the scriptures, if we pray, study the Bible, if we put Jesus and God first in our lives, our families second then the Worldly view. I believe we can overcome any issue.

Thank you pastor Nathan for sharing God’s Word.

  12. And if there is ever any doubt on ANY action your doing, just ask yourself. If Jesus was to appear right now, would he be pleased?

Please open your eyes, do not be mislead by the worldly. There are signs all around us. The Bible is not mere words of insignificant individuals. They are words given by God. And even God said, Your thoughts or not my thoughts. Do not let satan take from you what is rightfully yours. Everlasting life.

  13. Hello Pastor Nathan,

    Peace and grace to you.

I just read your blog and all of the responses and I am happy to know that some have been edified by both the blog and discussion. I would just like to look at the topic from the natural and spiritual side of things. I agree pretty much with everything you said due to the fact that it wasn’t you saying it but the Word of God. Our God did design the relationship between a woman and man to mirror His design for Christ and the church. Then came sin which altered the design from our perspective. Naturally a man is attracted to both sexes. What I mean is an attractive man is not an opinion based off of observation but a fact based off of genetics. Often times the Bible refers to certain men being hansome or tall (I doubt that is just God trying to lure in women but stating the accurate physiacl description of His creation). He also states personal characteristics and moral qualities in which we the reader find are attractive to both sexes. Being faithful, or honest is an attractive quality no matter man or woman. But these are all things , internal and external, that can go from being appreciated to lusted after. That is the natural, which is blind to the truth behind the spirituality of the matter. That unless we rely on God who set the perameters for our natural with spiritual truths then we would be left to our natural which is succeptible to sin. Rom 1:24 states “Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves”. From my understanding ( and I don’t understand much) God was preventing what man wanted for himself in the first place with His mercy, grace, sovereignty etc. So again I’m not arguing with you but merely adding in the perspective of how with sin in the picture man wants to be homosexual. With sin in the picture man can (not genetically of course) be born gay because he is exposed to the spirituality of it through conception.

But then there is the hope that is in Christ Jesus, “who was made sin that we might be the righteousness of in Him”( 2 Cor 5:21). All of the sins that are assigned to us from birth are done away with in anyone who calls on the name Jesus for salvation. It didn’t do away with the naturality of the situation but simply reinstituted the spirituality of God’s grace.

That is all continue to encourage and be encouraged

    • “Naturally a man is attracted to both sexes?” Are you serious? I believe that because of sin every man and female has the potential to be attracted to the same sex as every male and female has the potential of killing someone. By what you say, all heathen nations and people groups who do not follow God will have a large percentage who are homosexual. From a sociology standpoint, this is not evident. I could argue that I have never been attracted to a man but you would then say that that is because I have Christ in my life. And yet, I wrestle with other desires, a war that is always going on within me between my flesh and my spirit. If your statement were fact then I would have a homosexual battle from time to time also. I’m sorry, but I do not think that it is as natural as you say, but I do believe that there are those who are more prone to lean that way because of relationships or lack there of with mother and father, whether they were molested as a child, or possibly less of their natural hormone. Can anyone fall into homosexuality? Yes, and I believe that anyone can murder too. But the likelihood of it happening depends upon many variables. Quoting you, “with sin in the picture man wants to be homosexual.” Your statement establishes that anyone without Christ wants to be homosexual. If this statement is true then there are not many people in this world with sin. Now, I will agree that with sin in the picture man wants self gratification anyway he or she can get it. That I will agree with.
